Black Diamond Speed Shop (BDSpeedShop) was founded in 2023 by Sam Cojocaru — better known in the Evo community as Evo Sam. But long before BDSpeedShop was born, Sam had already spent many years in the CT9A/4G63 world.

Anyone who's owned an Evo knows — building (or even just maintaining) one isn't exactly wallet-friendly. We learned early on that finding quality used parts at good prices wasn't just smart... it was essential. Over the years, we've built countless Evos that are still running strong today using pre-loved engines, turbo kits, injectors, suspension parts — you name it.

What started as a money-pit hobby turned into a dream full time gig: helping fellow enthusiasts keep their Evos alive, fast, and a little easier on the bank account.

Sam took the trust he earned in the online and local Evo community and turned it into something bigger — a full repair and performance shop, plus an online store.
It all started in 2012, when he had the chance to buy a stock Evo 8 from a friend for only $8,000 (yup, those days are long gone... we cry about it too).

Since then, over 500 Evos have found new life — or, in some cases, a new purpose as parts donor cars (RIP) — with Sam building, restoring, or parting them out to help keep the Evo community thriving. At BDSpeedShop, we're here to help you build faster, drive harder, and spend smarter — because we live and breathe this world, just like you.
